Derek holds professional qualifications in both construction and property economics and has over 30 years’ experience, with some of Ireland’s largest construction and real estate companies.
From 2000, Derek spent 11 years as Head of Development with Grattan Property, one of Ireland’s largest development and construction companies with over €2 billion of assets in Ireland and the UK. The role involved acquisition, planning and delivery of both commercial and residential projects. Prior to joining Grattan Property, Derek worked in Savills for 5 years, gaining knowledge of commercial lettings and sales.
Over the last decade, Derek has had key asset and development roles working on residential, commercial and mixed use sites with Hines Group and with IPUT, Ireland’s largest property fund.
Derek has built strong relationships with property industry stakeholders, combining his experience to unlock the value of complicated real estate assets. Derek will be responsible for reviewing and execution of strategies for Quanta’s development opportunities.
